How to See the Full Cast on Netflix (When It Only Shows Three Names)

Updated 2026-11-03

You're watching something on Netflix, a familiar face shows up, and you open the title details. The cast line shows three names. The person you're wondering about is almost never one of them. Here's how to see more of the cast on Netflix, and where to go when Netflix doesn't have the answer.

1. The "Cast" line under the description is just the top three

Right under the synopsis you'll see something like "Starring: A, B, C". It's there to show the leads, not the whole ensemble. Supporting actors rarely make it into that line.

2. Scroll down for the longer cast list

Scroll to the bottom of the title page, near the audio and subtitle details, and you'll find a separate Cast section with more names. For Squid Game, it shows about ten (Netflix website, November 2026).

It still has limits:

The phone and TV apps lay things out a little differently, but the cast coverage is similar.

3. Got a name? Search it on Netflix

Type the actor's name into Netflix search and you'll see the titles they're in that are currently on Netflix in your country. Handy for "where have I seen them?" — but anything you watched on another service won't show up.

4. For supporting roles, go where the full credits live

Google "[title] cast"Main and major supporting roles, with photosSmall roles often missing
IMDb "Full cast & crew"400+ for Squid Game, with character names and episode countsLong list to scroll

On IMDb, the cast is sorted by how many episodes each actor appears in, so one-episode roles sit further down. If you remember roughly when they appeared, that helps narrow it.

5. Skip the lists: search by face

If you'd rather not scroll through hundreds of names, search by the face itself. Our app, who are you again?, lets you point your iPhone at the TV and see who it is plus their best-known roles.

One tip: Netflix and most streaming apps block screenshots on your phone — you usually get a black image. Photographing the TV or another screen works better. Very new or little-known actors may not be found yet, and a search that finds no one never uses up a free search.
